Stephens' Art & Frame was founded in 1969 by Ben Stephens III. The business had humble beginnings in the basement of his home. Several years later, the business outgrew the basement and moved to larger quarters near the intersection of Lexington Avenue & County Road "E" in Shoreview, Minnesota. During the next 36 years, Stephens’ Art & Frame operated custom framing workshops in downtown St. Paul, had retail locations in East St. Paul, had a location in the Downtown Minneapolis Skyway and in Arden Hills. They are presently located at 3600 Lexington Avenue N in Shoreview. Stephens' Art & Frame operates a 5000 square foot custom framing workshop and a 3000 square foot Art Gallery and Picture Frame Studio at this location. At present, it is their only location. The belief is that having everything under one roof leads to better control of quality, service and price. |
